Click Energy celebrate 5 Years with new offers

One of the more recent suppliers to enter the local electricity market is getting all grown up!!! Click Energy are celebrating five years supplying customers in Northern Ireland and are marking the occasion with a new ‘birthday’ tariff offer and increasing the value of ‘cashbacks’ added to existing tariffs.

Who is Click Energy?

Since Click Energy entered the electricity market five years ago, they have grown to have around 28,000 customers which is around 3.5% of the domestic market.

Click Energy offer tariffs to both Bill Pay and Keypad customers.

And if you like doing your bit for the environment you may also like to know that Click Energy are the only domestic supplier offering a 100% renewable tariff, ensuring you are only using renewable energy for the supply to your home.

They are voted no.1 in terms of customer satisfaction. Click Energy scored 82% ‘Satisfied’ in the Consumer Council’s Electricity Suppliers: Customer Satisfaction Survey August 2020. This is the highest score of all electricity suppliers in Northern Ireland (for the second year in a row).

Click Energy also operate an exclusive rewards scheme for their customers. ‘Clickbacks’ provides customers with discounts from major high-street brands and supermarkets.

What is the new Birthday tariff?

To celebrate their 5th birthday Click Energy have introduced a new offer for bill pay customers – the ‘Bill Pay 24-Hour Big Birthday’ tariff.

It is a fixed price tariff with a rate of 15.05p per kWh (incl Vat) and there is also a daily standing charge of 8.895p per day (incl Vat). The tariff is open to both new and existing customers. It comes with a 12-month contract term and there is a £30 exit fee if you leave the contract early. There is no cashback with this new deal.

With a fixed price deal the price of your electricity is ‘fixed’ for the duration of the contract and is guaranteed not to increase. So, even if energy prices go up, you will remain on the same rate throughout the term of your contract. However, the opposite is true – if prices drop you will pay the fixed price rate for the remaining period of your contract.

What about existing tariffs?

For all other existing tariffs Click Energy is increasing the value of ‘cashbacks’ provided to new customers when they switch. Up to now Click Energy provided a cashback of around £15 for most deals – but this is now being pushed up to £50.

New customers will now get £20 free credit when their switch is completed and £30 free credit upon the 12-month anniversary. The £50 (in total value) of cashback now available with these Click Energy tariffs makes them pretty competitive and worth a look.

And remember with ‘Power to Switch’ you can view results and compare savings by ‘tariff rate only’ or by ‘tariff rate + Cashback offers’. Simply ‘toggle’ between the ‘Sort: Tariff Rates‘ option displayed under the Savings column to see the difference cashbacks can make to your final energy bill.
