Budget Energy also provide online account access. The means you can view bills, monitor your energy use, submit meter readings and make payment through your online account
The majority of Budget Energy customers, around 90%, use Pay as You Go (Keypad) meters. This means they pay for their energy as they use it and Budget offer some of their best deals to Pay as You Go customers.
Keypad customers can top up on-line, use the freephone service or at any paypoint / payzone outlet. Credit (bill paying) customers can pay by monthly direct debit, by cheque, cash or via the freephone service. As a bill pay customer if you choose not to pay by direct debit there is a £150 security deposit.

Budget Energy - Customer Service
The Consumer Council for Northern Ireland undertake an Energy Supplier Customer Satisfaction survey every 6 months. In the most recent survey result Budget Energy had a ‘customer satisfaction’ score of 69%.
In its 2019-2020 Complaints Report the Consumer Council reported dealing with 14 Stage 2 complaints from Budget Energy customers during the year. This equates to around 2.5 complaints for every 10,000 customers.
Budget Energy – Fuel Mix
The Utility Regulator (NIAUR) requires companies that supply electricity to customers disclose the sources they use to generate their energy each year.
