WHO WE ARE
Power to Switch Ltd (trading as Power to Switch) is an online energy comparison service for domestic consumers operating across the island of Ireland through www.powertoswitch.co.uk and www.roidev.powertoswitch.co.uk websites.
The PowertoSwitch.co.uk website is operated by Power to Switch Limited, a company registered in Northern Ireland under company registration number NI628873 and having its registered office at 33 Breda Terrace, Belfast, BT8 7BY.
The roidev.powertoswitch.co.uk website is operated by Power to Switch Limited, a company registered in Ireland under company registration number 615128 and having its registered office at Office 29, Clifton House, Fitzwilliam Street Lower, Dublin 2.
WE ARE NOT AN ENERGY SUPPLIER
Power to Switch is an independent and impartial company providing information on the Irish energy market to help consumers become more informed on energy issues and choose the best energy deal for them. We provide information and a comparison service to help consumers find a better deal and facilitate the switching of energy supplier.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Power to Switch Ltd will use its reasonable endeavours to ensure that information provided to it by other organisations and energy suppliers is accurate but we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, legality or suitability for consumers needs of any information which is provided by any supplier and/or is accessed or obtained via the website or otherwise through using the service. You agree that the Company will not be liable for any loss, claim or damage (whether direct or indirect) which arises out of or is in any way connected with:
(i) any use of the service, the website or its contents;
(ii) any failure or delay in any component of the website, the provision of the service or the provision by any supplier of its goods, products or services (including, without limitation, where the consumer has a delayed or failed to switch from their current energy supplier to a supplier and/or the Customer is unable to obtain the cashback, voucher, reduced price tariff or other reward or incentive which he or she may have otherwise been entitled to from a supplier were it not for the failure or delay);
(iii) any use of or reliance upon any information, material, software, products or services obtained through website or otherwise through using the service (including, without limitation, any information, material, software, products or services of any suppliers); or
(iv) any transaction or agreement between the customer and any supplier or any attempt to enter into a transaction or an agreement with any supplier.
It is important to note that when using our service to switch energy supplier you may be subject to further terms and conditions in respect of the new product which may be imposed by your new supplier. Your acceptance of such terms and conditions is your own decision.
You agree to protect and fully compensate Power to Switch Ltd from any and all third party claims, liability, damages, expenses and costs (including, but not limited to, reasonable legal fees) caused by or arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms or your infringement, or infringement by any other user of your account, of any intellectual property or other right of anyone.
COPYRIGHT
Our content is intended for individual, personal use only. The copyright in the material contained in this website belongs to Power to Switch Ltd. However, you may make one copy of our content for your personal, non-commercial use, provided that any material copied remains intact and includes the following notice: “Copyright 2018 Power to Switch Ltd.” Any other copying, distribution, storing or transmission of any kind, or any sort of commercial use of our content, is prohibited without our prior written permission.

DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY
Power to Switch is committed to protecting your privacy. Our privacy practices are set out in our Privacy Policy. You agree that you have read our Privacy Policy and agree that the terms of such policy are reasonable.
Power to Switch enables you to compare prices and other information relating to the Northern Irish and Irish energy markets in terms of suppliers, products and services offered by them. Use of this service is free. Any energy contract you enter into as a result of using Power to Switch will be between you and your new energy supplier. We will not be a party to that contract, and so will not have any responsibility for any loss you may suffer as a result of you signing a new energy contract.
Power to Switch is aimed at private individuals wanting to use the website on their own behalf and/or on behalf of a close family member.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
Power to Switch will provide you with information and comparisons based on the information you have provided to us. It is essential that all information and answers are true and accurate and that you also disclose all relevant facts. If you do not provide accurate information and disclose all relevant facts this could lead to your selected product being invalid. In submitting any other person’s details, you are confirming to us that you have their permission to do so and that they understand how their information will be used. Power to Switch cannot be held responsible if any subsequent action you take or selected product is invalid as a result of your error in providing correct information, or from a failure to disclose all material facts. As suppliers change their prices and rates on a regular basis any price quoted to you will be accurate at the time of issue, but may change if your details or quote is resubmitted at a later date.
‘MY ACCOUNT’ – REGISTRATION
Consumers can choose to register an account (a ‘user’) with Power to Switch which allows previous quotes, energy usage, ‘switchadvisor’ and ‘alert functions’ to be used or saved for review on an ongoing basis. By registering as a ‘user’ you agree for Power to Switch to contact you by email with new deals and offers when they become available. By registering, you certify that all information you provide in the registration is accurate. You must have a valid email registered with us at all times. If an email that we send to you should bounce for some reason, your account may be temporarily suspended until you contact us with a verifiable address.
You consent to receive communications from us electronically and agree that we may communicate with you by email or by posting a notice on this Website. We do not include details of your personal or financial information in emails unless this specifically required or you specifically request that we do so. You agree that we may treat specific actions by you, such as checking boxes to receive email updates, sending us an email directly or through the website, or leaving a telephone message with an email address for customer service to respond to a query about your account, as a request that we communicate personal or financial information with you by email.

Therefore Power to Switch provides a range of options for consumers to submit reviews (for energy companies, and switching process), comments, questions and answers.
Power to Switch requests that this is done in a lawful and civil manner – be it in the comments area of our articles, on our blogs, through ‘switchadvisor’ or asking questions or using any other interactive or social media features. You (the user) are responsible for the content of your submissions on our site.
