What is the cost and what support is available?
With an average cost of around £2,500 – £3,000 converting to gas is an important decision.
However the Government and Phoenix Natural Gas provide a range of schemes which could make a big contribution to the cost and means you pay a lot less out of your own pocket. Government Backed Schemes
Boiler Replacement Scheme
This scheme provides a grant of up to £1000 to help with the cost of replacing your old, inefficient boiler and switching to gas. Information on the Boiler Replacement Scheme
Affordable Warmth
Local councils run this scheme which can provide up to £7,500 for your home and covers insulation, heating (including switching to gas), windows and treatment for solid walls.

0% Interest Free Finance
You can take advantage of 0% interest free credit when you install certain boilers which allows you to spread the cost over a fixed number of month.
60+ Saver
If you are 60 or over you may be entitled to a grant of £200 to help you switch from oil to natural gas central heating.
New Home Grant – £200 Cash Back
